Te Kāhui Hauora Māori Immunisation initiative

About

Te Kāhui Hauora Māori has partnered with Hauora providers across the country and has developed data sharing networks to facilitate targeted immunisations, focusing on pertussis and measles in Māori tamariki and hapu māmā, and delivering winter vaccinations. Our approach is whānau focused and aims to address many barriers to health experienced by Māori.

Te Kāhui Hauora Māori includes the following PHO who are coordinating the delivery of immunisations in their areas of operation:

Ngā Mataapuna Oranga
Hauraki PHO
Ngāti Porou Hauora
National Hauora Coalition

In addition to the Māori PHO’s we are collaborating with many of our Hauora Māori providers, including : Te Piki Oranga, Awarua Whānau Services, Waiariki Whānau, HealthWEST, Manurewa Marae, Papakura Marae, Huakina Development Trust, Health Through The Marae, Turuki, Whare Tiaki Hauora, Te Hononga, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, Te Hiku Hauora and Te Whare Oranga o Muriwhenua/ANT Trust.

The geographic reach of the collaboration allows primary coverage of Tamaki Makaurau, Waikato, Coromandel, Western Bay of Plenty, Tairawhiti, Porirua, Wellington and each end of Te Waipounamu.
