NHC engaged Julian King & Associates Limited to undertake an evaluation of the FFP programme, which was designed as a new approach to primary health care funding allocation, and reducing inequities among high needs populations.
NHC led a series of four pilot interventions to test whether they had an impact on antibiotic adherence. The trial was carried out in the South Auckland community during late 2014.
NHC recently published a report to articulate equity considerations regarding the sustainability of very ‘high needs’ Primary Care practices in a capitated environment.
